Contact

One address, read by the person who builds the site. Tariffs are complicated and we would rather hear that something is wrong than have it sit there.

We answer within a few days. There is no phone line and no live chat, because there is no call centre — just the inbox.

What we can fix, and what to include

  • A rate that looks wrongSend the page link and, if you have it, the line on your bill or the tariff sheet that disagrees. Every rate page links to the filed document we read it from; if the document has changed since our snapshot, that is usually the answer and we will refresh it.
  • A utility or plan that is missingTell us the utility and the state. Most gaps come from the source database: the plan is expired there, closed to new customers, or filed only as the delivery half of a bill. We explain each filter on the how-it-works page and can check whether yours was dropped for one of those reasons or by mistake.
  • A ZIP code that returns nothingThe ZIP-to-utility mapping is a separate public dataset and it is older than the tariffs. If your utility serves your ZIP and we say it does not, send both and we will add the mapping by hand.
  • Using the dataThe whole dataset is public domain and downloadable without sign-up. If you are building on it and something in the columns is unclear, ask — we would rather document it once than have it misread.

What we cannot do

We are not your utility and cannot see your account, change your plan, or explain a specific charge on your bill beyond what the public tariff says. For that, the number on the bill is the right one. We also do not sell leads, take referral fees, or pass your email to anyone — see the privacy policy.

Before you write

The two questions we get most are already answered: where the numbers come from and what we leave out, and how to download everything.
