Lorain-Medina R E C’s peak hours are 6am–9am, 5pm–10pm, October–May; 2pm–10pm, June–September. Everything outside those hours is off-peak. Weekends are off-peak all day.
At peak, Residential Rate TOD charges 16.5¢ a kWh; off-peak it is 12.5¢ — 1.3× apart. Prices from the filed tariff.
These hours only apply if you are on a time-of-use plan. Lorain-Medina R E C’s standard plan charges one rate at every hour of the day. A household that never switched has no peak hours to avoid — and no cheap hours to use.
