When are Louisville Gas & Electric’s peak hours?
Louisville Gas & Electric’s peak hours are 6am–10am, 6pm–10pm, November–March; 1pm–5pm, April–October. Everything outside those hours is off-peak. Weekends are off-peak all day.
At peak, Residential Time-of-Day Energy Service charges 18.0¢ a kWh; off-peak it is 8.4¢ — 2.2× apart. Prices from the filed tariff.
These hours only apply if you are on a time-of-use plan. Louisville Gas & Electric’s default plan, RS - Residential Service, charges one rate at every hour of the day. A household that never switched has no peak hours to avoid — and no cheap hours to use.
