When are Wisconsin Public Service’s peak hours?
Wisconsin Public Service’s peak hours are 4pm–8pm, October–April; 1pm–7pm, May–September on all 2 of its time-of-use plans. Everything outside those hours is off-peak, apart from a mid-priced shoulder period. Weekends are off-peak all day.
At peak, Residential Seasonal Three-tier Time-of-Use Rg5-OTOU charges 32.5¢ a kWh; off-peak it is 8.1¢ — 4.0× apart. Prices from the filed tariff.
These hours only apply if you are on a time-of-use plan. Wisconsin Public Service’s default plan, Residential Rg-1, charges one rate at every hour of the day. A household that never switched has no peak hours to avoid — and no cheap hours to use.
